Candid is at the Europe Canna Expo Today

3rd March 2020

Today promises to be an exciting day as we attend the first leg of the Europe Canna Expo in the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin.

This premier expo has lots of exhibitions, world-renowned speakers, and is the place to be if you need reliable information on how cannabis and CBD can help you and your family.

As a media partner for the event, Candid has sussed out the day ahead and in this article, we highlight the very best speakers and what each will discuss.

Influential Irish politician Gino Kenny, who was instrumental in getting medicinal cannabis legislation passed in Ireland, will kick off proceedings and talk about cannabis access in Ireland.

This will be followed by informative and engaging talks from clinicians who will discuss how CBD and cannabis can help with a range of illnesses including pain, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s, and PTSD.

We break then for lunch to give us all a chance to meet up and talk about what we have learned from the day so far.

After lunch, we’re going to learn all about how cannabis is helping PTSD patients in Israel, and the attitudes of Irish politicians and the Irish public on cannabis and the current legislation.

When we talk about cannabinoids, receptors and how they work, it can get confusing which is why we are grateful that Dr Callie Seaman is on hand to deliver a much-needed talk entitled ‘Simplifying Cannabis for Patients’.

Those of you who use CBD oil after a workout will be happy to learn that two well known international rugby players will be on a panel talking about how CBD helps them recover.

To round up the day we are spoilt with two more panels discussing cannabis as medicine and the current state of activism and advocacy in Ireland today.

Registration began at 8 am with talks commencing from 9:00 – 17:45.
