What to Wear to Tenerife’s SATARMUS Festival

19th May 2016

At Candid we pride ourselves on seeking out new frontiers, so when we sat down to discuss festival season, we knew we couldn’t just bring our readers the same ‘cut-off shorts and tie-dye tee’ story. Enter Tenerife’s STARMUS Festival, which brings together the world’s leading space travellers, stargazers and astrophysicists, alongside musical acts with a strong British influence.

The festival is a one-of-a-kind event where patrons can discover the wonders of the cosmos through science, art and music. This year’s theme Beyond the Horizon, which pays tribute to Stephen Hawking (who is also a speaker), combines musical extravagance with astronomy in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. Festival guests will be treated to guest speakers and musical performances in addition to beach parties and stargazing. It’s also the only festival we’ve seen that has a black tie gala dinner, meaning you’ll need to pack everything from printed shorts to bowties and blazers.
Drawing inspiration from the STARMUS Festival we’ve put together an edit of celestial fashion for the weekend; from galaxy-printed tees and star-studded dinner jackets to the more refined details and technical fabrics inspired by astronauts. We’ve even included the 360-degree Pentax camera so you can capture all the cosmic action in stunning quality and livestream it for all your friends back home.
Whether you’re headed to Tenerife or just looking to add a little star quality to your festival gear this season, you’ll be sure to find something out of this world…
