This Saturday 6 August, comes Eastern Electrics, one of our top 2016 summer festival picks! Home to the wild and wonderful, the one-day festival boasts an expansive bill (including headliners Idris Elba, Groove Armada, Seth Troxler and the Martinez Brothers). In addition to an ever-expanding list of acts performing across nine EE stages, there will also be secret festival gardens, beach volleyball (complete with sand!) and of course, photo booths galore.
The EE festival has you covered no matter your party style… From disco sets by surprise act, Doorly to Tropical Tea Party’s extensive offering of tea-infused cocktails and plenty of spaces for festival-goers to unwind between sets – they've truly thought of everything. Those looking to upgrade their ticket to VIP can check out the VIP EE stage where they'll be treated to bathtub karaoke and a prize wheel!
For those headed to EE we've included a few standout festival essentials for a little inspiration!
Of course no festival kit would be complete without a backpack, how else would you endure you're prepared for unexpected weather? We've included a high-shine reflective option from Christopher Kane that's sure to stand out as well a more subdued all black canvas bag from the specialists at Eastpak or take a look at this Christopher Kane backpack
For festival season a lightweight water repellent coat is an essential! Look for ones in bright colours or inspired prints for maximum sartorial impact and to ensure your friends can find you – should you get lost in the music. Below we've included a painterly animal print from cult-classic Acne as well a flight bomber from Rick Owens updated in orange! Our favourite part about shopping for lightweight jackets in August? All the coolest ones are on summer sale!
This leopard motif jacket by Oki-ni is perfect for the festival season, or try this LN-CC flight bomber.
The benefits of spending all day in the sun equal an improved mood (thanks to vitamin D!) warmth and a great tan. Don't forget to pack your sun cream and water bottle and pair of sunglasses! Protect your eyes from harmful UV rays in a stylish pair of sunnies, no matter the forecast! In addition to sheilding your from the Suns glare – they'll also come in handy when you need to disguise just how much (or how little!) sleep you've had the next morning!
We picked pairs from two of our favourite British brands to give you a little inspiration for the EE festival. Tortoise shell (as seen at Burberry) looks great with multi-patterned festival looks while the sleek style of the McQueen pair lends themselves to more monochromatic and minimal styling.
We love these sculpted metallic Alexander McQueen sunglasses.
