BATTLE THE ELEMENTS: CONVERSE DEBUTS NEW COUNTER CLIMATE SHIELD CANVAS COLLECTION
Converse has announced the launch of their new Counter Climate Shield Canvas collection, which will debut this autumn/winter 2016. Tackling the elements head-on, the new footwear combines the classic sneaker with premium features including a new water repellent canvas.
Designed for the Chuck Taylor lover who can’t give up their Chucks no matter what the weather; the new Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II Shield Canvas sneaker combines the enhanced comfort of a Nike Lunarlon sockliner, non-slip padded tongue and micro-suede lining with materials that can also withstand most climate challenges.
The new Converse also has an added a water repellent shield canvas and a gusseted tongue, as well as removing the medial eyelets to make a durable sneaker that is ready for wet and rainy adventures. The sneakers also feature reflective heel webbing and barrel laces for added visibility in low light environments.
The innovative sneaker collections feature a bold mix of colours and materials including the new water repellent canvas to protect against the rain. This collection is intended to stand up against unpredictable inclement weather.
With changes to materials and weatherised features, the new Converse footwear is equipped to tackle the weather head on this season, which is welcome news for Londoner’s who are used to being greeted by rain most autumn mornings.
The new fall/holiday 2016 Converse Counter Climate Shield Canvas Footwear and Apparel Collection, which launched yesterday, are available to purchase online now and also at selected retailers.
