Did Someone Mention Cocktails?

Summer time is very nearly here, we can already smell the BBQs, freshly cut grass, and salty sea breeze. Absolutely everyone seems to be experimenting with CBD and if you haven’t tried it already, what better way to spend the summer than with a CBD cocktail in hand.

CBD-infused drinks are non-threatening, healthy, and can be incredibly versatile. Simply purchase a pre-made cocktail mix or try your hand at making some of the classics from scratch. Either way, making CBD cocktails is much easier than it sounds! CBD devotees swear it can help with everything from stress, anxiety, inflammation, and some studies suggest it could even cure your hangover…

What To Expect

You might be slightly weary about mixing alcohol and a cannabis-derived substance for the first time, and this is pretty understandable. However don’t worry, it should feel nothing like being drunk and ‘high’ at the same time. CBD is naturally non-psychoactive, so after one or two drinks you can expect to feel a little buzzed from the alcohol, combined with the grounding quality of CBD. You should be feeling ultra calm in the best possible way.

And, when waking up the next morning CBD could even solve the issue of a sore head, dry mouth, and delicate stomach. This is all down to CBD’s possible health benefits and its ability to treat nausea and migraines -two of the most common hangover symptoms. CBD has been clinically proven to reduce inflammation throughout the body so it could make that cocktail induced headache a little easier to bear. However it is important to remember that whilst it may numb the pain you’ll need to rehydrate to solve the root of the problem.

When it comes to nausea, research has found that CBD can effectively regulate sickness through the body’s endocannabinoid’s system. It concluded that CB1 receptors, activated by CBD can could potentially reduce the feeling. And, whether it’s the next morning or whilst you’re sipping on your CBD cocktail, its anxiolytic (relaxing) effects should not be discounted. The cannabis derived substance could help you take the edge off, rewind after a long day at work, or give you some comfort during the stress of having a hangover.

We’ve all been there (*googles* can a hangover kill you?), so regardless of how bad your hangover is, CBD could help improve your symptoms.
