The print pioneers over at Textile Federation are preparing to embark on the challenging task of selecting a winner for its latest design competition in collaboration with ASOS.com. Up until the 14th February, students from selected universities and colleges around the world, including our own University of the Arts London, Brighton, Kingston and Nottingham Trent will be invited to create their own print to be included in ASOS’s eponymous collection for SS14.
The competition brief is ‘Fashion Meets Art’, and encourages budding designers to create an illustrative or abstract print to appeal to the ASOS customer. The winners will be shortlisted by the in-house team at Textile Federation, before being presented to a panel of ASOS experts to judge who will win the £500 prize awarded for each successful print design.
As well as financial incentive, winning applicants will of course have the opportunity to see their work sold online at the fashion Mecca, otherwise known as ASOS.com.
A fantastic platform for emerging designers, Textile Federation is constantly launching new and exciting competitions to encourage new talent. The details for Fashion Meets Art are included on the website, with the winners being chosen within 14 days of the closing date. We can’t wait to see what the contenders come up with!
