Are Cannadips the Future of CBD?

18th May 2020

Inspired by Snus tobacco pouches, California Cannadips are one of the most unique brands we’ve been introduced to in a long time.

Cannadips wanted to create a similar experience to traditional Nordic Snus tobacco pouches for CBD users. That’s how they formulated the idea for their own THC-free, tobacco-free, CBD-infused pouches.

It’s an innovative idea that doesn’t feel gimmicky. In fact, it feels like something that is truly boundary-breaking in the CBD world.

What Sets Cannadips Apart From Other Brands?

As we mentioned, Cannadips are unique and, what’s more, they know it.

Strictly speaking, there are only two main ways to ingest CBD – combustion and ingestion.

The people behind Cannadips have a lot of experience in the CBD world and they knew this before they started. So why did they expand into such a niche area? Why didn’t they choose traditional combustion or ingestion methods? Let’s take a look.

Combustion

Unsurprisingly, inhaling a burnt substance can be hard on the lungs. Over time it can cause irritation and eventually severe lung damage.

Using this method, cannabinoids are absorbed directly into the alveoli of the lungs and then passed quickly through the bloodstream. The absorption rate can be quite high but are the effects on the lungs worth it?

Cannadips wanted to maximise efficacy and not risk lung damage.

What About Ingestion?

Ingestion is a popular form for cannabinoids, whether that be CBD edibles or tinctures. These can be absorbed via mucus membranes or swallowed. This means that they have to pass through the stomach and liver which will metabolise the CBD and reduce the concentration before it reaches the bloodstream, thereby lowering the dosage.

The California entrepreneurs were left with a question. What’s the best way to take CBD without causing lung damage or losing out on CBD absorption?

Taking inspiration from the Nordic Snus tobacco pouches, Cannadips was born.

To make their idea a reality, Cannadips worked with chemists to develop small fibre pouches that had porous surfaces. These pouches could be placed between inside the mouth, against the gums, to slowly release their CBD into the body.

Cannadips use only broad-spectrum CBD alongside non-GMO, vegan-friendly, and pesticide-free flavouring ingredients. They recommend users take about 35-40 minutes to allow the release of CBD, which might seem like a long time but their flavours last up to two hours. So you won’t get sick of it.

Currently, they have three original flavours – Natural Mint, Tangy Citrus, and American Spice. Each one brings something new to the table, and you’re sure to have your own favourite, we’re particularly fond of the Tangy Citrus.

Cannadips – the Future of CBD?

Taking CBD effectively and discreetly has been the name of the game for a long time now. CBD vape pens have continually got smaller for a reason. If you’re looking for discretion, we can’t think of a single reason why Cannadips wouldn’t be your first choice.

It seems like they’ve developed an entirely new niche within the CBD industry and one that’s definitely going to be explored more in the future.
